Data Privacy

Effective Date: 06/09/2025

LeanOn LLC (“LeanOn Moms”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share information about you when you use our mobile application and online platform (the “App”). It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
This Policy is designed to meet our duties of transparency under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL). Where local UAE law requires different or additional disclosures, we will provide them.

1.Collection of Information

a.Registration Information
-
Access to LeanOn Moms is granted via social sign-in: your Apple or Google account. We do not support phone numbers–only sign-in and we do not use selfie verification.
-
If you connect through Apple or Google, we receive information from the provider, which may include: email address, full name, and a unique provider ID (used to validate your account). You can control which data is shared via your social account settings.
-
If you permit the App to do so, we may also access your device’s location services, camera, photos, and/or contacts to offer specific features (e.g., adding profile photos, finding nearby users, inviting friends). You can revoke such permissions at any time in your device settings.
-

b.Log and Usage Data
-
Our servers automatically record information created by your use of the App (“Log and Usage Data”), which may include IP address, device type, operating system, app version, mobile carrier, referring URLs, pages/screens viewed, actions taken, crash logs, and timestamp information.
-

c.Marketing and Communications Data
-
We collect your marketing preferences and communication settings (“Marketing and Communications Data”).

d.Behavioural Data
-
We may derive interest segments from your activity (“Behavioural Data”), such as location-based communities or feature engagement, to personalize your experience. We do not create profiles that have legal or similarly significant effects without your consent.
e.Your Content Data
-
You may post content (e.g., profile details, posts, comments, listings, messages) and interact with other users (“Your Content Data”). Only share what you are comfortable making visible to others in the App.
f.Aggregated Data
-
We collect, use, and share Aggregated Data (statistical or demographic) for any purpose. Aggregated Data is not considered personal data if it does not identify you. If we combine Aggregated Data with personal data so that it identifies you, we treat the combined data as personal data.
g.Special Categories of Personal Data
-
We do not require you to provide special category data (e.g., health, religious or philosophical beliefs, biometric data). If you choose to include such information in your profile or posts, it may be visible to others—please share thoughtfully.
h.Geolocation Information
-
If you enable location services, we may collect device geolocation to offer features such as finding users nearby or localizing content. You can disable location at any time in App settings. Even if disabled, we may infer city/emirate from your IP address (not precise location).
-

2.Uses of Information
We use your personal data for several purposes, in line with the requirements of the UAE PDPL:
-
Account creation and management: We use your registration information, log and usage data, and any content you provide to create your account, deliver the App’s features, notify you of changes, and enable you to participate in interactive features. This is necessary to perform the contract between you and us.
-
Customer moderation and safety: We use your registration information, log and usage data, and content to enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, investigate complaints, prevent fraud or spam, and ensure the safety of our community. This is based on our legitimate interests in maintaining a safe and trustworthy environment, and on compliance with UAE law.
-
Support: We use your registration information and any communications you send us to respond to your requests and provide customer service. This is based on our legitimate interests in supporting our users and improving our services.
-
Troubleshooting and App development: We use log and usage data and behavioural data to diagnose problems, analyze performance, test new features, and produce statistics. This is based on our legitimate interests in improving and developing the App.
-
Personalization and recommendations: We use behavioural data and, if enabled, geolocation data to tailor your experience, such as showing you nearby communities or relevant posts. This is based on your consent (for geolocation) or our legitimate interests (for non-sensitive personalization).
-
Marketing: We use your registration information, marketing and communication preferences, and behavioural data to send you updates, offers, or promotional content that aligns with your preferences. This is based on your consent where required, or our legitimate interests where permissible.
-
Protecting our legal rights: We may use your registration information, log and usage data, and content to enforce our Terms, protect our rights, and prevent fraud or security issues. This is based on our legitimate interests and compliance with law.
-

3.Personal Data from Third-Party Sources
-
We may receive Registration Information from Apple and Google when you use social sign-in. These sources are not publicly available. You control what is shared via those platforms.
4.Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it in these limited circumstances:
-
Service Providers – Trusted vendors providing IT, hosting, analytics, messaging, and customer support. We only share what is necessary, apply minimization and safeguards, and bind them by contract. Service Providers may be located in the United Arab Emirates.
-
Social sign-in providers – Apple and Google for authentication and account linking.
-
Regulators and public authorities – We may disclose information when required by UAE laws.
-
Business transfers – In connection with mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, or asset sales, your data may be transferred subject to this Policy’s protections.
-
Professional advisers – Lawyers, auditors, insurers, and banks under confidentiality obligations.
5.Data Transfers, Security, and Access
-
Secure transfer: All data exchanged between the mobile app and our backend systems is transmitted over encrypted channels (HTTPS/TLS), ensuring protection during transfer.
-
Data storage and communication: When users create accounts, publish content, or upload images, their information is securely transferred to our cloud backend and stored in secure databases and storage systems.
-
International transfers: Our backend infrastructure is hosted in a secure data center located in Mumbai, India. Since the app is targeted to users in the UAE, this means personal data may be transferred internationally (from the UAE to India). These transfers are encrypted and performed only for the purpose of providing the app’s services.
-
No unauthorized transfers: We do not sell or disclose personal data to unauthorized third parties. Data is only shared with trusted service providers as strictly necessary to operate the app.
-
Encryption at rest and in transit: User data is encrypted both while being transferred (in transit) and when stored on our cloud systems (at rest).
-
Access control: Access to personal data is strictly limited to authorized personnel and is subject to security safeguards.
6.Marketing
-
We may send you marketing communications consistent with your preferences. You can opt out at any time via in-App settings or the unsubscribe link. We may still send service or transactional messages (e.g., policy updates, security notices).
7.What Other Users See About You
LeanOn Moms is designed for connection. Depending on your settings, other users may see:
-
Your profile details (e.g., first name, city/emirate, life stage), photos, languages, education, workplace, and information about your children that you choose to share.
-
Content you post (e.g., posts, comments, listings) and your public interactions.
If you sign in with Apple/Google, your name and profile picture may be visible to others depending on your profile settings. Be mindful about sharing information relating to your children or sensitive details.

8.Age Policy
-
The App is for adults. You must be 18 years or older to use LeanOn Moms. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete the account.

9.Removing LeanOn Access from Social Accounts
-
You may remove LeanOn’s access in your Apple/Google account settings at any time.
10.Your Rights
Under the UAE PDPL, you have rights including:
-

Restriction of processing in certain cases.
-
Objection to processing for direct marketing or where based on legitimate interests.

Withdrawal of consent where we rely on consent.
You can exercise these rights by contacting us at info@leanon.mom
11.Data Retention
-
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes set out in this Policy, or as required by UAE law. When retention is no longer necessary, we securely delete or anonymize data.
12.Changes to This Policy
-
We may update this Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the App and the Services will constitute your acceptance to the revised Terms and this Policy.
13.Cookies and Tracking
-
We may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your App experience, measure usage, and secure our platform. You can manage cookie preferences in your device or browser settings.
14.Child Protection and Data Handling
-
Parental Responsibility and Accurate Information. Where the App requires users to submit personal information relating to a child (including but not limited to name, age, health information, educational needs, or preferences), the user confirms that they are the parent or legal guardian of the child, or otherwise have the legal authority to provide such data. The user agrees to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
-
Purpose and Use of Data. Child-related information is collected solely for the purpose of delivering and improving the App’s services, customizing content, and ensuring appropriate functionality based on the child’s age or developmental needs. We do not use this data for marketing or profiling purposes.
-
Data Protection and Security. We are fully committed to protecting children’s personal data. All child-related information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and any other relevant child protection legislation.
-
Data Access and Parental Control. Parents or legal guardians have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their child’s personal data at any time. Such requests may be made via the contact details provided in the Privacy Policy.
-
Data Minimization and Retention. We collect only the minimum amount of child-related data necessary for the operation of the App and retain it only for as long as required to fulfill the intended purpose or as required by law. After that, the data is securely deleted or anonymized.
-
No Third-Party Sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share child-related personal data with third parties, except with trusted service providers under strict contractual obligations and solely for the operation of the App. All third-party processors are required to comply with the same level of child data protection.
15.Limited Use of Aggregated Demographic Data
-
Without prejudice to the foregoing provisions, the App reserves the right to process user data in a de-identified and aggregated format for the purpose of deriving non-personally identifiable demographic insights. This may include, but is not limited to, the categorization of users into generalized cohorts based on non-specific attributes such as approximate age ranges, broad geographic regions, or developmental stages of the child, provided that such data is rendered anonymous in accordance with applicable data protection standards and cannot, directly or indirectly, identify any individual.
-
Such aggregated demographic outputs may be utilized for internal analytics, service optimization, or shared with vetted third parties—such as brand partners, institutional collaborators, or prospective commercial stakeholders—under strict contractual safeguards. The sharing of these insights shall be solely for the purposes of enhancing user experience, informing product development, or evaluating service reach and engagement, and shall at no time permit the re-identification of any individual data subject.
-
While the App may facilitate targeted promotional activities directed at aggregated user segments, no personalized marketing, behavioral profiling, or individual-level data exploitation shall occur in connection with such demographic groupings. All data handling in this context shall remain fully compliant with applicable laws, including but not limited to the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), and shall be subject to ongoing oversight to ensure data minimization, purpose limitation, and child privacy safeguards.

16.Non-Disparagement and Responsible Use
-
Users agree not to publish false, misleading, or defamatory statements that may harm LeanOn’s reputation or community integrity, whether online or offline.
-
Concerns or complaints should be raised directly with LeanOn via info@leanon.mom.
-
This clause shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable UAE cybercrime and defamation laws.
17.Links to Other Websites
-
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by the Company.
-
The Company has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that the Company shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

-
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
19.Dispute Resolution
-
In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the App, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through good-faith negotiations.
If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. -

If any provision of this Policy is determined by a competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or interpreted to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. Where such modification is not possible, the affected provision shall be deemed deleted, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
-
Waiver. Any failure or delay by LeanOn to exercise a right, power, or remedy under this Policy shall not constitute a waiver thereof. A waiver shall only be effective if expressly made in writing and shall not operate as a waiver of any subsequent right or remedy.
-
Assignment. You may not assign, transfer, or delegate any of your rights or obligations under this Policy without LeanOn’s prior written consent. LeanOn may assign or transfer its rights and obligations, in whole or in part, without restriction or prior notice to you.
